As the cicadas start to sing and the days grow longer, summer is officially here. At the end of June every year, the world’s second-largest mineral show—Sainte Marie Mineral and Gem Show—opens its doors, marking one of the most anticipated events of the season.
Even though participating in the show has become an annual tradition, the excitement builds as the date draws closer. After a week of careful preparation, we’ve packed up all the newly arrived specimens and selected exhibits and are ready to head off to the Alsace region, situated along the French-German border, for the Sainte Marie Mineral and Gem Show.
The Stunning Scenery of Sainte Marie
Starting from Tuscany, we head north, passing through Switzerland and into Germany, after nearly 12 hours of driving, we finally enter the French mountains from the northeast. Sainte Marie, nestled in a valley, retains the architectural charm of centuries past, with quaint wooden houses and cobblestone streets creating a peaceful, rural atmosphere. The hillside is dotted with cattle, sheep, and expansive vineyards, showing the rich winemaking heritage of Alsace.
As we approach, the picturesque streets of Sainte Marie gradually come into view.
Thanks to the region’s rich silver deposits, mining activities in Sainte Marie date back to the 11th century. The area, once known as the "Silver Mine Valley," gave the town its historical significance. Though the mines have long closed, the Sainte Marie Mineral and Gem Show continues to draw mineral dealers and collectors from all over Europe and beyond. Each year, during the last week of June, more than 1,000 exhibitors, just like us, make their way to this internationally renowned show.

We’re excited to showcase a new batch of Quartz with Sagenite from Itamarandiba, Brazil, which hasn’t been seen on the market for several years. These specimens feature rutile growths on fractured quartz crystals that sparkle beautifully in the sunlight, making them a highlight of the Sainte Marie Mineral and Gem Show.
Brazilian Smoky Quartz with Rich Color
These large Brazilian smoky quartz specimens stand out not only for their size but also for their striking shapes and deep, captivating color, making them an audience favorite.
Tourmaline
Our premium tourmaline specimens, with their diverse and rich colors, are always a hit. At the Sainte Marie Mineral and Gem Show, these stunning tourmalines will once again dazzle visitors.
Imperial Topaz
Imperial topaz is one of our signature offerings. Simone’s keen eye for color and insistence on high-quality gem crystals ensure that our imperial topaz specimens are always of the finest caliber.
Sirius Quartz
Last November, we visited our partners in Brazil, where we found these SUPER GEMMY Sirius quartz specimens. With etched surfaces and perfectly terminated, they are some of the finest mineral specimens we’ve ever displayed at the Sainte Marie Mineral and Gem Show.
